Acting Bug
So this weekend, my husband gave me a little break and watched the love of our life, Mags for a whole 6 hours. I went to a shower in our hometown. So for 5.5 hours I got to do nothing but drive and listen to great music that I forgot about since having the little magsters. So I listened to awesome songs like "long way to run..." by Collective Soul, a little Cold Play, a little U2, Faith Hill's "Cry". Anyway, all of this singing at the top of my lungs reminded me of my former life, Acting. Ya, so I miss it. I think I just miss all of the corny aspects of it like tapping into wierd emotions and having an excuse to make them come out. I miss the adrenaline rush of finding my center and going to auditions, or finding auditions to go to anyway, I miss the competativness of it all. I miss an audience's responce. But when trying to remember some of my old monologues I realized that there are new monologes to be made. Because now that I am post-pregnancy I have way more emotions and experiences to draw from. Now, will anyone ever see them on the big screen probably not. But will the next acting class that I teach at Excel get to see them, you better believe it. I am fired up too!!! What's that saying, "If you can't do, teach!" So this is where I am now, trying to find a happy medium; missing my passion for acting but loving my passion for my new baby girl; I will let ya know if things change after all as my grandma would say: You are a gemini, Danielle.

i'm so glad that you had a chance to just be "YOU". i know how much you love that little girl of yours but you still have to be you, alone. it amazing the things you find out when you spend a little time away from everyone. and in "your" car with "your" music blaring- there's no better place to just reflect!! i'm glad that you find a passion for you life here with your family and friends. it's been so wonderful getting to know you and to see the changes of your life through your love for your family. i told brady this today, but i want to tell you that i really do miss you guys. just knowing how fast that little lady is growing up... WOW!!
first of all i would just like to share that i had NO idea you had a blog and second of all i want to know why it is the color of poo--i was thinking red??with some aqua blue???? i don't know you are the art major!!!!!! and third of all i think you will be one of the best acting teachers out there......because so many of your friends and family have not seen the talent that you have in that department and i am so happy that you are getting back to what makes you feel alive-----i know maggie gives you that feeling----but when she is older she will be proud of you---and i might add she will think that you are VERY cool.......i love you
I just randomly fell into your blog but like Beth said...why is it dookie brown? Not at all your personality...I was thinking YELLOW! lol! Anyways Danielle I think you will be an amazing teacher. I would love to retake the acting class just to be under you. You have a way of expressing yourself and your talent just radiates into the students. I can sense the passion you have and its so contagious! YOU ARE AWESOME...both at acting and being a beautiful MOM!
HEEEY! Well, I hope that the bug hasn't left you for long?! Cause' sista, you best get ready to be my co-star in the new upcoming comedy called " THE Sweet and Sour Sisters from the SOUTH." HAHAHa! I don't really know what I am saying; all I know is that I wanted to leave a comment. D, I pray that one day I can have the honor of working with you under whatever circumstances God may set forth to us. Maybe one day I will be given the chance to cast you in my directorial debut feature!! How fun would that be!!! AHHHHHHHH! I can't wait for Maggie to see her momma strut her stuff! By the way, TAE-BO is awesome...but.. I found out through trial and error that it only works if you do it everyday for the rest of your LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! Well, maybe not for the rest of your life, but then I would actually have to go on a diet! AND God knows how I like to eat!!! One word: CARBS!!! Gotta love em'!!!!!!!!
